I don’t know about you but I love buying clothes for my kids. Phoebe especially loves getting new clothes (and shoes even more!) and I seem to spend far too much money buying them lovely things and then clothe myself in Tesco and Primark!
Back in January I met Claire, a me&i rep at a local Mums Unltd networking meeting. I had heard of me&i before but I’d never seen any of their products. Claire asked me if I would consider hosting a party so that she could show me the products and let me and my friends experience them first hand. I jumped at the chance, I thought it would be a great excuse for a night with friends and to do a bit of shopping in the comfort of my front room!Me&i is a Swedish company that make unique, fun and comfortable clothing. Their clothes are versatile and made from strong, stretchy material that washes well and doesn’t require a lot of ironing (yay!). The products are both ethically and ecologically made and the baby clothes are made from organic cotton which means they are not made with pesticides or chemicals that may harm your baby’s skin.
My Me&i party was lots of fun and everyone had a great time! Claire arrived and set up all the clothes on rails. As she introduced all the items to us Claire tried on most of the adult clothes so we could see how they looked when worn. We got to touch and feel all the clothes and try on any items that we wanted. There was so much choice, from jackets and dresses to tops, skirts and jeans. All the items were fantastic quality and beautifully made. I particularly liked the jeans which were a great length as I often find it difficult to get jeans long enough for me.
Phoebe was particularly thrilled with the children’s clothes and made a long list of items she wanted to buy! In the end we (I say we, but clearly Phoebe didn’t pay for hers!) bought 3 items. One for me and two for Phoebe. I chose the blue bomber jacket. It is lightweight and stylish with a zip up the front and pockets. I felt this would be so useful throughout the Spring and Summer and could be worn casually with jeans or for smarter occasions if necessary. That’s one of the best things about their clothes…they are so versatile. You can have items that can be used for so many different occasions.
The second item I bought was this gorgeous doggy dress for Phoebe. This is a really popular dress and it looks so lovely on. I bought a size 122 which is age 6-8 and I feel we will get a good couple of years out of this dress. I love the design with the random green sausage dogs among the pink ones. It’s a really unique design and lots of people have commented on how lovely it is!
The final item I bought were these comfy pink toweling 3/4 length joggers. I thought they would be really useful for putting on after Phoebe’s swimming lesson or after a day at the beach when we are on holiday. Phoebe’s not a huge fan of trousers but she looks so cute in these!
As a gift for hosting the party I was able to chose a free item. I love the fact that with me&i, as a host, you get to choose a free item and then get 20% off another item no matter what people at your party spend. It means there is no pressure for your friends to buy anything at all. The me&i clothing is not a cheap line and it’s good to feel that you can truly invite people to experience the clothes without them feeling that they must buy something. I chose a plain black t-shirt for my free item and Claire was kind enough to include a stylish green t-shirt too. I love both of these tops and will get so much wear out of them. The green is a different colour for me – I usually stick to more muted colours but I think this is wonderful!
Finally, Phoebe fell in love with a very unusual ‘tomato’ dress during the party. Whilst I loved it too, I felt the doggy dress would be more useful and that she would get more wear out of it so we chose that instead. When our parcel arrived it was a lovely surprise to see that Claire had included the Tomato dress as a gift for Phoebe! She was a very excited 6 year old and couldn’t wait to wear the dress as her ‘something red’ on red nose day.
There are a few free items that customers can get when they spend over a certain amount of money. I received a cool beanie hat. It’s great to stick on your handbag to have on hand if you ever need to keep your ears warm and folded up it fits small heads too! There is also a lovely matching scarf which some of my friends got with their orders.
Our deliveries came quickly and we decided to get all the items delivered to me to save on multiple delivery charges. I know everyone was really pleased with their items and would thoroughly recommend me&i to others. For anyone interested in becoming a me&i representative there has never been a better time. There are currently only a small number of me&i reps and so it’s possible you might be the only one in your area. This means far more opportunity for great sales and new customers. Check out their website for more information about the company, to find a rep local to you or to browse and purchase products. I have made a video showing all the items we received and talking a bit more about me&i. Check it out below (I had to cringe a bit watching it back! This is my first attempt at Vlogging…I think I’ve a lot to learn!).
Thanks to Claire for introducing us to me&i, we look forward to seeing the next launch of new clothing and adding to our little collection. Check out my video below to see the items we bought.
Until next time!
